SMF Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programme

Do you have a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme in your company?  If not, your employees can simply join the CSR activities organised by SMF.

The "SMF Cares - Sharing is Caring" initiative was introduced to create a culture of giving. The initiative will instil in our employees a compassionate and caring mind-set. We have decided to work with 2 charitable organizations in 2014, i.e. Club Rainbow for children suffering from chronic or life-threatening illnesses and Lions Befrienders for lonely seniors.

SMF has begun the SMF Cares journey on 30 October 2013. Once a week, our employees volunteer at the Club Rainbow Centre at KK Women's & Children's Hospital. Another group organizes monthly birthday parties for the seniors at the Lions Befrienders’ Mei Ling Senior Activity Centre.

Mr Sam Tan, the Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Mayor, Central Singapore District, officially launched the SMF Cares initiative on 5 February 2014 in the presence of the council members, members and employees of SMF.

SMF would like to extend an invitation to all member companies to join the SMF Cares initiative. Members may participate by sending their employees to voluntarily participate in the activities or to commit resources in the form of cash donation, hampers and/or product samples to support the charitable organization, Lions Befrienders. The plan is to organize monthly birthday parties throughout 2014.  The activities at the parties include games, singing, birthday celebrations etc.
